THE REUNIFICATION OF SOMERSET?

An increasing number of people believe that the Unitary Authorities of Bath And North East Somerset and North Somerset, are not a very efficient way of running those parts of the county and want to see a return to a single authority in Taunton.

Is this a good idea? Would it be too complicated? Would a united Somerset finally sweep away the last vestiges of the unloved county of Avon?

Here are some possible choices.

You can contact Somerset County Council,
Bath And North East Somerset UA,
North Somerset UA or
The Boundary Committee and express your opinion. Alternatively you can write to the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and say that you'd like to see Somerset reunited.
